Terms of service
Last updated: 4 November 2026
Welcome to Pulo & Peel. These Terms of Service explain the conditions that apply when you browse our website or purchase products from us.
By placing an order through our website, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before making a purchase.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
1. About Us
Pulo & Peel is an online store specialising in carefully sourced Philippine fruits for customers in the United Kingdom.
Our website and online checkout are powered by Shopify.
You can contact us at hello@puloandpeel.co.uk or through the Contact page on our website.
2. Our Products
We aim to provide accurate descriptions, photographs and information about the fruits available on our website.
As fruit is a natural, agricultural product, variations in size, shape, colour, appearance and ripeness may occur. Product photographs are for illustration, and individual fruits may differ slightly.
These natural variations do not affect your statutory rights if products are faulty, not of satisfactory quality or not as described.
Product availability may change depending on seasonal conditions, sourcing arrangements and incoming shipments.
3. Orders and Payments
When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase the selected products.
We will send an acknowledgement when your order is received. An order is accepted when we confirm acceptance.
All prices are displayed in pounds sterling (GBP). Any applicable delivery charges will be shown before you complete checkout.
Payment must be made using one of the payment methods available at checkout.
If we cannot fulfil your order, we will contact you and arrange a refund for any items we are unable to supply.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including where a product is unavailable, a pricing error has occurred or fraud is suspected. Where payment has already been taken, we will refund the amount due.
4. Pre-Orders and Shipment Availability
Some of our fruits are sold through scheduled pre-order periods, allowing us to arrange incoming shipments from the Philippines.
Expected shipment arrival dates are estimates and may change due to availability, transport, customs clearance, inspections or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
We will make reasonable efforts to keep customers informed of significant changes affecting their orders.
If a shipment is delayed or a product becomes unavailable, we will explain the available options, including any cancellation or refund rights that apply under UK law.
5. Pre-Order Cancellations
We understand that plans can sometimes change.
Customers may request to cancel or amend a pre-order before we have placed the corresponding fruit order with our supplier.
Once that supplier order has been placed, we are generally unable to accept change-of-mind cancellations because the fruit has been committed to the incoming shipment.
Please contact us promptly at hello@puloandpeel.co.uk if you wish to amend or cancel an order.
As our products are fresh and perishable, they are generally exempt from the standard 14-day change-of-mind cancellation right that applies to many online purchases.
This does not affect any statutory rights relating to faulty goods, goods that are not as described, non-delivery or other circumstances where a refund or cancellation is required by law.
Further information is available in our Returns & Refunds Policy.
6. Delivery
We deliver to eligible UK addresses, subject to any geographical restrictions displayed on our website or at checkout.
Delivery availability, charges and estimated timescales will be provided before an order is placed.
For pre-orders, delivery will be arranged once the fruit has arrived in the UK and is ready for dispatch.
Any estimated delivery dates are provided in good faith. Where delays occur, we will communicate with affected customers and comply with our obligations under applicable consumer law.
We remain responsible for your goods until they are received by you or a person you have identified to receive them, except where the law provides otherwise.
Please ensure that the delivery details supplied with your order are accurate and that someone is available to receive fresh produce wherever reasonably possible.
7. Returns, Refunds and Product Issues
Due to the perishable nature of fresh fruit, we do not normally accept change-of-mind returns.
If your fruit arrives damaged, spoiled, faulty or not as described, please contact us as soon as possible, ideally within 24 hours of delivery.
Where possible, include your order number, a description of the problem and photographs of the affected fruit and packaging.
We will review your concerns and provide an appropriate resolution in accordance with your statutory rights. This may include a refund or replacement, depending on the circumstances.
The request to report problems within 24 hours helps us investigate issues involving fresh produce, but it does not limit your legal rights.
For full details, please refer to our Returns & Refunds Policy.
8. Website Information and Availability
We make reasonable efforts to keep the information on our website accurate and up to date.
However, occasional errors may occur in product descriptions, availability, pricing or other information.
If we discover an error affecting an order, we will contact you and explain the available options.
We may update our products, prices and website content from time to time. Changes to prices will not affect orders we have already accepted, except where permitted by law and agreed with the customer.
9. Intellectual Property
The Pulo & Peel name, logo, branding, photographs, written content and other original materials on our website are owned by us or used with the permission of their respective owners.
You may browse and use our website for personal, lawful purposes.
You must not reproduce, distribute or commercially use our original website materials without permission, except where permitted by law.
10. Liability and Your Consumer Rights
We take reasonable care in providing our products and services.
Nothing in these Terms of Service excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable consumer protection laws.
We are not responsible for losses arising solely from circumstances outside our reasonable control, except where we remain legally responsible.
11. Privacy
We respect your privacy and handle personal information in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
Please see our Privacy Policy for information about how we collect, use and protect customer information.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes to our business, operations or legal requirements.
The most recent version will be available on our website, together with its last updated date.
The terms applicable to an accepted order will not be changed retrospectively without a lawful basis.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the applicable laws of the United Kingdom, taking account of where our business is established and any mandatory rights available to consumers.
Nothing in this section removes a consumer's right to rely on mandatory legal protections or bring proceedings in a court that has jurisdiction under applicable law.
